PNG PSD Viewer is a program with a name that perfectly describes its functionality - it allows you to view image files with the PNG and PSD format. It can be handled even by less experienced individuals.

Surprise-free installation and clean GUI

The installation process does not take very long as it does not pose any issues such as making changes to the web browser or downloading third-party products.
The interface of the application is simplistic and intuitive, as it only encompasses a few buttons and a panel in which to display photos. This means that it is dedicated to all types of users, including those with little or no previous experience with PCs.

Options you can tinker with

Image files can be imported via the file browser or "drag and drop" method. In addition to that, PNG PSD Viewer allows you to start a slideshow, rotate items, go to the previous or next picture in the source folder, as well as zoom in and out and fit the picture to the viewer.
Aside from that, you can store images as JPGs, make file associations and configure program options when it comes to the viewer background color, default and slideshow transition, along with the duration of the slides.

Performance and conclusion

The image viewer runs on a moderate amount of CPU and system memory. It has a quick response time and supports keyboard shortcuts. We have not come across any problems during our testing; PNG PSD Viewer did not freeze, crash or pop up errors. On the downside, there is no Help file and you cannot configure additional image settings (e.g. flip, effects) or set the JPG quality for the new files.
