PO Fast Translate

By default, GetText Portable Object files include the original text and the corresponding translation, expressed in a single language. PO Fast Translate is a tool that comes in handy for translating PO files, which comprise translations of multilingual websites created with PHP.

Translate the 'msgstr' field in PO files

Relying on Google's translation engine, this application can process the 'msgstr' field of each entry in the input PO file, easily changing the destination language. All the other fields remain intact, so the untranslated text remains unchanged.
In order to enhance the quality of the output text, PO Fast Translate features a so-called 'intelligent translation' mode.

Fast translation of Portable Object files

As far as usage is concerned, the application is very intuitive and easy to work with, mostly thanks to the user-friendly layout of the interface. Your only task is to load the desired input PO file and select the target language you want the program to translate it in.
Depending on the file size, the process can take more or less time. The progress and the estimated time are displayed in the main window. As soon as the task is complete, the translation is shown in the left pane and you can easily save it as a new PO file to your hard drive.
