Portable CoView

Designed as the portable counterpart of CoView, this is a tiny application that you can use to easily open and read comic books in digital format.
It offers support for .cbr, .cbz, .rar and .zip extensions, as well as some type of graphic files (.bmp, .jpg, .gif, .png, .ico, .dib, .wmf).

Portability benefits

Since installation is not required, you can save the app files anywhere on the disk and click the executable to launch CoView.
It's also possible to save it to a removable media device to directly run it on any machine. More importantly, it doesn't make any changes to the Windows registry.

Fullscreen interface with simple commands

CoView is opened in fullscreen mode and cannot be resized. The information window shows a list with all available commands.
You can open comic book files and navigate them, examine page information, zoom in and out, switch to dynamic visualization or continuous mode, set the direction of movement, rotate and flip pictures, apply image effects, as well as set bookmarks.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't come across any stability issues throughout our tests, thanks to the fact that CoView didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. It had a good response time to commands and used low CPU and RAM to work properly.
All in all, this software utility proposes a simple method for viewing comic book files on the screen, and can be easily handled by anyone.
