Portable CSV2IIF

This is the portable counterpart of CSV2IIF, a straightforward piece of software that, as the name implies, allows you to convert CSV files into IIF format. It also offers support for TXT and XLS files.

Portability advantages

As there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the program files in any part of the disk and launch the executable immediately. Another possibility is to save CSV2IIF to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly and without previous installers.
An important aspect worth taking into account is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the HDD without permission, leaving it clean after removal.

The GUI is user-friendly, made of a regular window with a well-structured layout. CSV2IIF does not put too much emphasis on the visual appeal, letting users immediately dive into the conversion procedure.

Easily configure output settings

It is possible to map the CSV files, examine the raw data, view tables and transactions, edit the account name, as well as undo the last action. In order to convert the CSV to IIF format, all you have to do is specify the output name and directory and save the new file.

Evaluation and conclusion

CSV2IIF offers support for multiple languages, has a good response time and carries out conversion jobs rapidly while running on low CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the machine's overall performance.
There were no kind of issues throughout our evaluation, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. The whole package is a bit expensive, though. Otherwise, CSV2IIF gets the job done and can be handled by all types of users.
