Portable DocReader

As its name implies, Portable DocReader is an app which allows you to view documents. It supports TXT, PDB, PRC and can be easily figured out, even by inexperienced users.
Since this is a portable app, installing DocReader is not necessary. It means that you can store the tool on an external device (like a USB flash drive), save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.
What's more important is the fact that no leftover items can be found in the Windows registry or the hard drive after program removal.
The interface of the piece of software is uncomplicated and easy to navigate through. Documents can be imported by using either the file browser or 'drag and drop' function.
So, you can use the cut, copy and paste functions along with a search and replace tool, enable edit mode and set bookmarks, as well as change font settings (e.g. style, size, effects, color). From the 'Settings' area you can modify the default document directory, font and background color, make DocReader start in edit mode and to scan for bookmarks, as well as specify print margins.
The simple-to-use tool needs a very low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and supports some keyboard shortcuts. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing; DocReader did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, there is no help file available. The app's features can be easily comprehended, thanks to the intuitive layout. No recent updates have been made.
