Portable JPEGCrops Description
Portable JPEGCrops is a simple-to-use application which you can use to crop your image files in batch mode. It supports only the JPG and JPEG formats.
Since installation is not necessary, you can store Portable JPEGCrops on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. Plus, there will be no changes made to your Windows registry keys.
The interface of Portable JPEGCrops is based on a standard window in which you can import photographs via the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method.
So, you can set the new filename and aspect ratio, rotate and flip pictures, synchronize all crops, specify the output directory and proceed with the conversion. Each task can be initialized individually but there's also the possibility of cropping all pictures via a single button.
Furthermore, you can change the thumbnail viewing mode (e.g. medium, huge), toggle between the "golden section" and "rule of thirds" displaying mode, disable the status bar, change the interface language, configure advanced settings (e.g. copy metadata and permissions, overwrite existing files, delete original pictures), and others.
The image processing application takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, supports keyboard shortcuts, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image quality. Too bad that the interface is outdated and there is no help file available. Otherwise, we strongly recommend Portable JPEGCrops to all users.
