Portable LameXP

Portable LameXP provides a frontend for the command-line LAME MP3-encoder, allowing the conversion between various audio formats.
The range of supported file types should cover the needs of all users, comprising common formats such as WAV, MP1, MP2, MP3, OGG, OGM, AAC, MP4, M4A, AC3, WAV, DTS, FLAC, WV, Musepack files, APE, TTA, SPX, WMA, AIF, Avisynth scripts (AVS) and playlists (M3U, PLS, ASX, WPL). On the other hand, the list of output formats includes a limited number of types, namely MP3, OGG Vorbis, Opus, AAC, MP4, FLAC, APE, A/52, DCA, PCM/Wave.
The forthright interface includes all the steps you need to follow in order to convert your files, from selecting the input files or loading an entire source directory to monitoring the task progress and viewing the output. The application supports drag and drop, so importing files is very easy. Plus, it displays a floating drop box that enables you to quickly queue audio files for processing.
Portable LameXP enables you to adjust the rate control method, configure the quality/bitrate level, set the maximum and the minimum bitrate limits and select the desired sampling rate and channel mode. Also, it can find a balance between output quality and the processing speed.
Prior to conversion, you can edit the metadata information of each audio file, customizing its name, the artist, album, music genre, release year, position and assigning it a short comment and an artwork image. To make things easier, the application allows you to import such data from a CSV file.
Thanks to its multi-thread processing capabilities, Portable LameXP provides high conversion speeds. Even if it runs multiple instances simultaneously, it has a low impact on the CPU and the memory usage.
