Portable MIDI Transform

Made as the portable edition of MIDI Transform, this is an intuitive application that gives you the possibility to adjust settings for Midi audio tracks and save them as new files. It comes loaded with a bunch of practical options for all user levels.

No setup necessary, besides .NET Framework

As long as you have .NET Framework installed on your PC, you don't need to set up anything else. This means that you can drop the program files in any part of the disk and just click the .exe to run MIDI Transform. Otherwise, you can keep it stored on a USB flash drive to seamlessly launch it on any PC. It doesn't change the Windows registry configuration.

Simple interface and options

Represented by a large window that shows all options powered by MIDI Transform, the interface is pretty simplistic, yet easy to get around. After opening a Midi track you can load it in a built-in audio player, as well as pause and resume playback.

Change instruments and other settings

It's possible to adjust levels for the volume, volume contrast, speed and change key, modify the channels, alter the root key and mode, as well as turn instruments into something else and tweak the volume level for each one.
The bottom part of the main app window reveals the basic Midi information along with details about instruments. Settings can be reset to default. Once all changes are made, you can save the new Midi track by indicating file name and output directory.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't come across any issues in our testing, thanks to the fact that the tool didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance, as it consumed low CPU and memory. All in all, MIDI Transform comes packed with handy options to help you make modifications to Midi audio tracks.
