Portable Mime DeEnCode

Portable Mime DeEnCode is a small-sized and easy-to-use software program that can instantly encode and decode data from MIME format, the code used in emails.
Before proceeding any further, you should know that the app is only available in German.

No setup required

This is a portable package, so there is no installation involved. You can drop the app files anywhere on the disk and just click the .exe to launch Portable Mime DeEnCode. Another option is to keep it stored on a USB flash drive, in order to directly run it on any computer with minimum effort. More importantly, it doesn't change the Windows registry settings.

Straightforward interface and options

The GUI is user-friendly, made from a small window with a plain appearance, where you can select data from a specific source, or by dropping a file in the main window.
Once you establish the target directory and file type, you can proceed with the encoding or decoding procedure with one click. There are no other notable options provided by this tool.

Evaluation and conclusion

There were no issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the program didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. It didn't hog system resources either, since it needed low CPU and RAM to function normally.
Too bad that it's only available in German. On top of that, it doesn't include more advanced customization preferences for experienced users, such as the possibility to preview the encoded or decoded text. However, you can test Portable Mime DeEnCode for yourself, since it's free.
