Portable MiniReminder Description
If you find it difficult to rely on your brain to remember whenever activities need to be performed, or any upcoming events, there are plenty of methods to make sure you don’t miss any of them. A basic trick in this regard is to take advantage of specialized applications like Portable MiniReminder, letting you organize tasks and receive alerts.
Interface, and portability perks
As the name clearly points out, this is the edition of MiniReminder that runs right after download is done, and can be carried around, and used directly from a thumb drive, making it possible to receive alerts wherever you use it from. What’s more, portability keeps the target PC clean, because it doesn’t depend on registries to function.
The main window you get to work with is customizable, letting you make it suit your style. There are several preset color themes, but you can also manually pick a background color, and different states of the upcoming tasks. After adding or editing your tasks, you can minimized to the tray area to save some space.
Easy to configure events
What differentiates it from other of its kind is that the application alerts you before, and even after the event is finished. This comes in handy if the specific event lasts for more than a day. Creating one doesn’t take that much effort. You only need to add message, notes, date, and optionally configure special warning limits, so it doesn’t warn you too long after the event finishes.
When done, all of them are shown in the main window, along with related info like due date, and title. Selecting one brings up a few more details, and it’s also possible to edit them in case you want to include more notes. Sadly, there aren’t any audio notifications, so you need to pay extra attention to it.
On an ending note
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Portable MiniReminder is a simple way of keeping track of things you need to do, or meeting to attend to. You can carry your reminders with you because of portability, and even though it doesn’t seem quite polished from all points of view, it’s worth a try overall.
