Portable ReSysInfo Description
This is the portable version of ReSysInfo, a straightforward piece of software designed to retrieve technical information on the operating system. It features just a few intuitive options that should be easy to figure out by users.
Portability perks
As there is no setup kit implied, you can put the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.
Another possibility is to save ReSysInfo to a USB flash disk or similar mass storage device, in order to use it on any PC effortlessly, without installing anything beforehand.
More importantly, it does not modify Windows registry settings or create additional files on the hard disk, leaving it clean after removal.
Simple interface and options
The GUI is based on a single window with a clear-cut structure, where you can get information on the BIOS, CMOS, desktop, DirectX, drives, environment, fonts, keyboard, locale data, machine and APM, mainboard, MCI, memory, mouse, multimedia, network, OpenGL, passwords, ports, printer and fax, processes, processor, system, video system, and Windows.
Generate reports easily
Clicking any of these entries expands information in that particular field, and you can copy data to the Clipboard with the click of a button. In addition, you can use a simple wizard to generate a TXT, HTML or XML report with any preferred aforementioned categories. Last but not least, ReSysInfo provides direct access to some system utilities, like Registry Editor and DirectX.
Conclusion
The tool has minimal impact on system performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. There were no issues in our tests, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. All in all, ReSysInfo gets the job done, and it can be easily used by anyone.
