Portable Scan2PDF Description
Portable Scan2PDF is an application that lets you convert image files to PDF documents.
Since this is a portable product, installation is not necessary. You can place Portable Scan2PDF on an external device and run its executable file on any computer. More importantly, there will be no changes made to your Windows registry keys.
The interface of the program is very plain and simple to use. You can import images from file or scanner by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
So, you can set the title name, gap between two images and compression level, as well as the height for the viewer.
In addition, you can rotate images and move them up and down in the list. Once you are satisfied with the results, you can save the project as a PDF file.
The program takes up a moderate amount of system resources and quickly finishes a conversion task without causing us any issues. Plus, it supports three languages for the interface.
On the other hand, there is no help file available. Batch processing is supported but you can only convert multiple images in a single PDF document (i.e. merging), so you cannot place them in separate files.
Also, we haven't noticed any difference in the layouts when changing the value for the gap between two images. In the output files, each image is automatically placed on a separate page and you cannot change this option.
All in all, Portable Scan2PDF is a good program for image-to-PDF conversions but it needs to work on its functionality and add more features. Nevertheless, it can be easily used by individuals of all levels.
