Portable Sender Description
Portable Sender is a lightweight software application developed specifically for helping you send messages in your network using straightforward actions.
Portable tool
This is the portable version of Sender which comes with several benefits. You may run it by simply opening the executable file (there’s no setup included in the process) and copy it on any USB flash drive or other portable devices.
It does not leave traces in your Windows registry so you can get rid of it by deleting the package that you have grabbed from the Internet.
System tray running mode
You can find Portable Sender running quietly in the system tray without disturbing your activity. A double-click on its tray icon reveals the main window of the program, while a right-click gives you quick access to the configuration panel.
The GUI looks clean and simplistic. It does not embed many dedicated parameters so you won’t invest too much time and effort into the entire process. The layout is made up of two main tabs that are responsible for sending and receiving messages.
Sending and receiving messages
The application lets you pick the sender from a drop-down list, type the text directly into the main window or paste the information from the clipboard, view information about the received messages (time, sender, receiver, and message), reply to messages, and delete the selected item or all of them.
Configuration settings
Portable Sender gives you the possibility to enable the built-in receiver and activate various types of notifications upon receiving a new message, such as show popup messages, animate tray icon, play a beep, switch to the panel with the received messages, show a message, and launch an external program.
What’s more, you can make the utility load the last message, keep message history, and minimize the tool upon sending messages.
Bottom line
All things considered, Portable Sender proves to be a handy replacement for the ‘net send’ command, and can be mastered by all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
