Portable Translate.Net Description
This is the portable edition of Translate.Net. As the name implies, this is a translation tool, offering support for a wide range of languages. It can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
As installation is not a prerequisite, you can simply drop the program files anywhere on the hard disk and run the executable file directly.
Alternatively, you can move Translate.Net to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort.
More importantly, the Windows Registry does not get entry updates, and files do not remain on the hard disk after removing the program.
The interface of the application is based on a standard window with a regular layout, where you can select the input and output languages, translation services (e.g. Google Translate) and subjects (e.g. Art, Informatics). You can copy and paste text, undo your actions, show the direction of translation, highlight untranslated words in red, manage multiple user profiles, and others.
Translate.Net uses a very high amount of CPU and RAM, has a fair response time, and translates text rapidly. However, it slowed down our other active applications in our tests. Other than that, we have not encountered any issues. We must also keep in mind that Translate.Net has not been updated for a while.
