Portable UPX Easy GUI

Portable UPX Easy GUI has been developed specifically in order to help you pack and decompress several executable formats, including applications, DLLs and DOS tools, the portable version of UPX Easy GUI and a graphical interface for UPX.
Since the application does not require installation, you can easily copy the program files to any location on the hard drive. By transferring them to a portable storage device, such as a USB flash drive, you can run Portable UPX Easy GUI directly from there. In addition to that, you should know the Windows Registry and Start menu/screen are not going to get updated with new entries.
The interface is, as the program’s name hints at, very easy to use by any type of person, regardless of their previous experience. The GUI comprises four tabs that enable you to browse through different options available in the program.
The first two tabs enable you to compress and decompress files respectively, by choosing their paths. A small drawback here is represented by the fact that “drag and drop” is not supported, as these features could have helped users conduct processes easier.
When packing or extracting files, Portable UPX Easy GUI displays details regarding the source file path, command line, initial and resulted size.
From the settings panel you can change the level of compression (from 1-faster to 9-better) as well as set Portable UPX Easy GUI to create a backup of the original file, force compression of suspicious files, strip relocations and compress icons.
