As for the time it needs to complete the wiping job, Portable WipeDisk is generally a very fast app, but this also depends on the method you choose. Going for Peter Gutmann for example could make the wiping take up to several hours, depending on the hard-drive capacity.
Another good thing about Portable WipeDisk is that it shows a captcha before starting the cleaning process, thus helping you make sure that you’re wiping the right drive.
Overall, Portable WipeDisk is quite a helpful application. A help section is only available in German, but the program is fully portable, so you can use it on the without prior installation.
