PortController.NET is a powerful, easy-to-use .NET component that makes RS-232 serial port communications in your .NET project simple. With PortController.NET, you can perform multithreaded reads and writes with one simple function call, transfer files using XMODEM, YMODEM, and ZMODEM, control baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits parameters, read and write binary data, support DTR/DSR, CTS/RTS, and XON/XOFF handshaking. PortController.NET even notifies your application when data arrives or events occur on the port, saving you from having to implement messy polling routines. PortController.NET comes with 15 example applications (Visual Basic, C#, and C++) and may be redistributed to your customers royalty-free as part of your application.
