Power2010 Description
Power2010 is an application that lets you schedule a power management function for your computer.
This is a portable software, so installing Power2010 is not necessary. You can simply place it on a removable drive and directly run the executable file on any computer. But, more importantly, there will be no modifications made to your Windows registry keys.
The interface of the program is based on a simple and small window in which you can schedule to shutdown, restart, hibernate or log off. Optionally, you can enable Power2010 to force close all applications.
So, you can set a countdown for the power management event, in hour, minutes and seconds. Initiate it by pressing the "Start"Â button.
Plus, you can pause the countdown, disable the taskbar icon and borders, as well as input a password. The latter option is recommended if you share your computer with multiple users.
The tool takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system CPU and memory, and is simple to use by both novices and experienced individuals.
However, you cannot schedule an event on a specific time, nor set a countdown for more than (almost) 25 hours. Furthermore, no notification with sound pops up to warn you that your computer is about to shutdown in just a few seconds, for example.
All in all, Power2010 is a pretty good tool for automated shutdowns but it definitely needs to come up with more features. Nevertheless, feel free to test it for yourself.
