PowerPoint Express Description
PowerPoint Express is a lightweight Windows application designed specifically for helping you create PowerPoint-like presentations using custom images and text.
Clean layout
You are welcomed by a simple and plain design that embeds basic features for defining the presentations. A help manual is not included in the package but the dedicated parameters are highly intuitive so you are not going to invest a lot of time into the tweaking process.
Create new presentations
PowerPoint Express gives you the possibility to import user-defined images from your computer. Pictures can be added in the working environment using the built-in browse button or drag-and-drop support.
The utility helps you preview the photos, generate thumbnails, embed custom text messages in the images (the text can be altered in terms of size and color), rotate the images to different angles, as well as apply black and white effects.
All adjustments applied to the edited image can be deleted with a single click so you can easily restore the file to its original state. You can look for photos on Google directly from the tool’s GUI and save them to a location on your system.
What’s more, you are allowed to import data from PPTX file format, add text from DOCX files, as well as generate a slideshow of the presentation in full screen mode. Plus, you can save the current project to a file on your system so you can easily import data for future adjustments.
There’s support for only a few configuration settings that help you change the looks of the tool by selecting between different GUI styles and alter the language.
Bottom line
All things considered, PowerPoint Express delivers a simple software solution for helping you create presentations with custom images and text. On the downside, it hasn’t been updated for a while so you can make use of its capabilities especially on older operating systems. We have tested it on Windows 8.1 Pro and experienced several crashes and freezes.
