When working with recurring expressions of text on a daily basis, one of the best ways to boost your productivity is to employ a clipboard manager.
PreClip is a simple piece of software that is designed from the ground up to help you improve your workflow when writing or filling out forms by allowing you to copy regularly used bits of text to the clipboard.

Plain looking and minimalist clipboard manager

Subsequent to its installation and upon first starting the app, you are greeted by a compact main window with a simple interface and an intuitive layout. The utility displays a list of phrases of texts that can be copied to the clipboard with a single click.
PreClip also makes it possible for you to clear the contents of your clipboard and edit the current fragments of text. Upon clicking the designated button for editing the snippets, you are met by a simple text file. Your new expressions or phrases need to be entered into this text file, each one in a new line.

Streamlined snippet manager that is always accompanied by a text file

This would be a good moment to point out that while efficient, PreClip is not a top notch and modern app of its kind.
Because PreClip is dependent on this text file that always needs to be in the same location as the application itself, adding or editing snippets feels somewhat rudimentary. As expected, the app does not work properly when the text file is missing.
Furthermore, because PreClip does not continuously scan the text file, after you have modified your snippet list, you need to manually refresh the list within its interface by clicking the designated button.

Certainly not a bad app, but far from being considered modern

All in all, there is no doubt that PreClip is a useful app that works good in ideal conditions and it might even be what some users are looking for in a clipboard manager.
But, on the other hand, it might come off as being a bit counterproductive for some. Besides the fact that it is highly dependent on having a text file besides it all the time, the app does not feature a direct way to load phrases to your clipboard via keyboard shortcuts and can only be minimized to the taskbar.
These drawbacks may not be apparent or noticeable when doing light work, but in situations where lots of apps are simultaneously opened and your desktop is cluttered with program windows and icons of all sorts and kinds, having two more icons and one more window just to load a text to the clipboard is far from ideal.
