Privacy Agent is a feather-light and straightforward tool made to remove history, cache files and other privacy-related information from your web browsers, in order to preserve the integrity of your online navigational activity. It offers support for Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.

Simple setup and GUI

Installing this application is a fast and easy job that shouldn't give you any trouble. As for the interface, Privacy Agent adopts a modern-looking window with a clean and intuitive structure, where all you can do is click a button to start the scanning operation.
Before this, the utility notifies you that it will close all your currently opened web browsers. Although there seem to be only two buttons available (for confirming the task and for hiding this message on future scans), you can click the close button to cancel, in order to save your current work before closing the browsers.

Find and remove browser data

The scanning operation may take a very long time, during which the program doesn't show any information regarding scanned objects, apart from the fact that they're privacy and history traces.
On scan completion, you can find out the total number of items in each category, such as browser history, auto complete history, images and text cache, as well as exclude any of them from deletion.

Evaluation and conclusion

As previously mentioned, it took a very long time during our tests to finish scans. However, it consumed a low amount of CPU and RAM during this time, so it didn't hamper system performance. On the other hand, it's not explicit concerning the type of objects it verifies prior to the scan, and it doesn't leave much room for customization. Nevertheless, Privacy Agent gets the job done and can be easily used by anyone.
