Process-Timer

Process-Timer is a small Widows application whose purpose is to help you make use of a countdown timer in order to launch or shut down a user-defined process.

The advantages of being portable

Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to run or kill processes at a custom time on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.

Minimalistic GUI

You are welcomed by a small panel that embeds only a few configuration settings that you can experiment with. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so even rookies can discover and tweak the program’s features in no time.

Scheduling a task

Process-Timer gives you the possibility to choose the desired action that you want to trigger, namely run or stop a process, select a user-defined process using the built-in browse button (there’s no support for drag-and-drop operations), as well as enter the desired date and time.
What’s more, you can make the application shut down the computer at the end of the task and delay the shutdown operation by selecting from several preset time values (from 10 minutes up to 9 hours).

Performance

The lack of configurable settings makes it an ideal app for rookies. During our testing we have noticed that Process-Timer carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it remains light on system resources, so it doesn’t hamper computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
