PURE Player Description
Just a few years back, pictures only offered a limited perspective of reality, forcing enthusiasts to take dozens to capture all areas of interest. Nowadays, some specialized devices take all-round-view pictures to enjoy everything the photographer sees around. However, you need some specialized application to open such pictures, and PURE Player is one of them.
Quick accommodation thanks to the simple design
On the visual side of things, the application is built on the classic window style, thus keeping accommodation to a minimum of effort. No preview is loaded by default, so you need to rely on the open dialog, because dragging files of interest over the main window has no effect.
Once you try to do this, the application can leave you scratching your head for a while, because you won’t get to see any common image file formats among the supported ones. In fact, the application is so strict that it only gives you the possibility to load IVP files. Luckily, there are some presets you can load for a preview.
Easy controls and quality settings
You control the camera using your mouse. The left mouse button lets you completely rotate the camera, while holding down the right mouse button lets you quickly zoom in and out, task which is also done with the wheel.
Chances are the picture you load isn’t exactly at the quality you expect it to be. This is the time you need to pay a visit to the settings menu. Among others, the application can apply antialiasing to smooth pixelated edges, and you can also adjust quality, mouse speed, smooth stop, as well as resolution.
You can activate an automatic camera movement for a comfortable view of the whole thing. In addition, you can resize the main window or go full screen for an enhanced experience. Sadly, there aren’t any export options except for settings, making it impossible to extract regular pictures without other programs.
On an ending note
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that PURE Player is a straightforward utility with which you are able to freely view panoramic pictures. The simple design makes accommodation a walk in the park, while the shallow, yet practical set of utilities make sure you focus more on the pictures themselves, rather than getting stuck looking for something specific.
