Quick Lock Description
Quick Lock is a tiny and simplistic software program that allows you to disable three of the most important tools which can damage your computer if they become infected, namely Registry Editor, Task Manager and Command Prompt. It can be easily figured out, even by inexperienced users.
This is a portable piece of software, so installing Quick Lock is not necessary. It means that you can store the app on a USB flash drive or any other removable device, save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.
More importantly, the Windows Registry does not receive new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal. Plus, you can carry Quick Lock with you whenever you're on the move.
The interface of the program is based on a small window with a standard layout. So, all you have to do is select which Windows function you want to disable, and click a button to immediately apply modifications without rebooting the system. It is possible to select two or all functions to disable simultaneously. These changes are preserved after you exit and, even delete the program, so make sure to use Quick Lock cautiously.
The application does not put a strain on the computer's resources, since it runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It is very responsive to commands and didn't cause the operating system to freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, you cannot assign a password to it. The app has not been updated for a very long time.
