Quick Resolution Changer

Quick Resolution Changer is a tiny and portable utility whose name sums up its functionality - it lets you modify the resolution of your screen by giving you fast access to several actions. Special knowledge is not required to work with it.
Since installation is not an issue, you can simply drop the executable file on any location on the hard disk and run it immediately.
As an alternative, you can move Quick Resolution Changer to a USB flash disk or other removable device, and run it on any computer with minimum effort.
What's important to keep in mind is that the Windows Registry section does not get entry updates, and leftover files are not kept on the hard disk after removal.
At initialization, Quick Resolution Changer creates an icon in the system tray, which you can click to bring up a menu and choose a preferred resolution for your screen. Options differ from 640x480 to 1600x1200.
Furthermore, you can alter the monitor frequency (between 60Hz and 100Hz). Quick Resolution Changer also provides three ready profiles for users who are looking for a shortcut to changing their monitor's resolution. There are no configurable settings or other notable options available though this tool.
Quick Resolution Changer is very light on the system resources, using a minimal quantity of CPU and memory. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the tool did not hang or crash. However, Quick Resolution Changer has not been updated for a very long time, and it does not offer support for larger resolutions (e.g. 1920x1200).
