QuickShot Description
Every keyboard is fitted with a special button which captures all activity on screen in the form of a picture and send it to clipboard. However, it can be tricky to process multiple screenshots from the clipboard, but there are various specialized applications like QuickShot you can use to enhance this feature.
Lightweight and easy to use
One of the application’s main advantages is the lack of an installer, which means it’s easy to carry around on a thumb drive to use on other computers besides your own. Note that the target PC needs to be equipped with .NET Framework for everything to work as intended. On the other hand, stability is not affected, because registry entries remain intact.
A simple window frame shows up on launch, which is the main tool you get to work with. This is a pretty convenient method since it can easily be positioned anywhere on the desktop, and resized by dragging the borders around. The title shows the corresponding trigger hotkey which, unfortunately, can’t be changed.
Automatic saving and copy options
Apart from the capture frame, there’s also a history window which shows up. Every snapshot you take create a small thumbnail in the history window. On the bright side of things, every picture you take is automatically saved to a specific location under the JPG format matching the size of the capture window.
Interacting with thumbnail previews make it possible to bring up the image save location, remove, or copy them. For faster access to the application’s set of features there’s the possibility to assign a hotkey command to the program’s shortcut to launch it from any location.
On an ending note
To sum it up, QuickShot is a useful method of capturing important events on your desktop. Automatic saving of pictures is a major advantage, and even though you can’t pick a different format, or other capture methods, it’s sure to come in handy.
