QuikIO Description
QuikIO is a software application designed specifically for helping you stream and send videos to an iPad/iPhone device using straightforward actions. In addition to clips, the utility is able to handle documents, pictures and audio files.
The best part about working with this program is that you do not need to work with a third-party convertor for encoding your files to a compatible format, as QuikIO automatically takes care of the job for you.
System tray running mode
You can find the utility running in the background. It is placed in the system tray and with a single click on its icon you can get access to the program’s GUI.
The layout looks clean and provides a well-structure suite of features from where you can venture tweaking the access parameters, settings, as well as advanced set of functions. In addition, you may easily start or stop the service.
Streaming capabilities
QuikIO gives you the possibility to build up a list with the folders that you want to stream to an iPad/iPhone device. Directories can be added in the working environment using the built-in browse button (you cannot rely on the drag-and-drop support). Individual files cannot be added to the list.
What’s more, you are allowed to remove the selected items from the list and view information about each directory, such as name and location.
Configuration settings
QuikIO offers you the option to specify the computer name or activate the LAN discovery mode, and automatically run the tool at Windows startup.
Advanced configuration parameters are implemented for helping you provide the cache location and size, process the iTunes and AudioGalaxy playlist, use hardware acceleration, as well as reindex data.
All worthy of your attention
All in all, QuikIO makes a very good impression with its easy-to-use features that can be mastered even by rookies to stream their media library to iPad/iPhone devices.
