RAM Optimizer

RAM Optimizer is an application designed to temporarily free memory from running programs to allocate it to other processes requiring closer attention. This can also prevent your machine from lagging, freezing or crashing due to insufficient RAM.
The tool includes a couple of customization settings and runs on predefined parameters to release memory. It can be handled by all types of users, even those inexperienced with this kind of software.

No installation required

The setup kit is dedicated to extract all files to a custom location on the disk, without integrating files into the system directory or entries in the Windows registry. This way, you don't have to worry about increasing the risk of OS stability issues due to incompatible DLLs.
A simple folder deletion is enough to remove the program from your computer. Moreover, you can copy the files to a USB flash drive to carry the app with you at all times and directly launch it on any PC to release RAM.

Straightforward GUI for RAM optimization

When it comes to the interface, RAM Optimizer adopts a small window with a plain appearance and simple layout, which displays the current usage statistics.
You can click a button to free up RAM using the recommended settings, set indicators for minimal memory limit to automatically optimize RAM, as well as integrate the tool into the Windows autostart sequence, so that it runs every time you boot the computer. System restart is required to finalize RAM optimization settings.

Evaluation and conclusion

It hasn't been updated for a long time and we've experienced compatibility issues with newer Windows in our tests, as RAM Optimizer refused to start. It worked on older OS editions, though. On the other hand, it makes little room for configuration and we haven't noticed any changes in RAM usage.
