randoMaster Description
Chances are you can’t rely on your brain to remind you of all upcoming events, especially with a busy schedule. However, this issue can be solved especially if your work implies using the computer for daily activities. There are different applications to use in this regard, and randoMaster can notify you at random intervals.
Can be used on the go
One of the main advantages is that you can run the application as soon as download is done, because there’s no setup involved to take any of your time, or effort. This also means that it perfectly fits on a thumb drive in case you want to carry it around as a method of receiving audio alerts every now and then.
The application’s core function is to play WAV files at random intervals. There is some degree of control over the operation, and values are easily managed from the configuration panel. Here you get the chance to specify the source folder of WAV files, which is the only supported input type.
Easily determine playback frequency
The random factor is determined by a couple of time values. On the one hand, there’s the regulation interval which is specified in seconds, with several values at your disposal selected from a drop-down menu. On the other hand, playback frequency is determined through a different set of values.
Description fields help easily understand the process and how to combine values for frequent alerts. WAV files are picked at random from the specified folder. There’s no built-in option to make it run with Windows, but there is the possibility to bypass this by adding a shortcut to the system Startup folder.
On an ending note
Bottom line is that randoMaster comes as a strange, but practical way of receiving surprise alerts so you never miss tasks or appointments. Although files are picked at random, and so is the time interval, there’s some degree of control over frequency.
