Raptor Audio

Raptor Audio is a simple but handy application that allows you to rip audio tracks from your CDs and save them in multiple formats, including MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG and WMA.
The interface of the program is plain and intuitive. Upon initialization, a list of songs is automatically displayed if the CD is inserted.
In this list you can check out the number, title and length of each track. Once you specify the output directory and format, you can proceed with the encoding task.
Additionally, you can edit track information when it comes to the artist, album, genre and year, as well as modify audio preferences regarding bit rate, quality, encoder engine quality, and others. Settings can be restored to their default values at any time.
On top of that, you can go to the "Options" area and change the interface theme and filename format, as well as set the default CDDB server and configure proxy settings. But you can also preview tracks in a built-in media player and adjust the volume.
The simple-to-use program runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a very good sound quality in the output tracks. We haven't come across any issues during our tests, since Raptor Audio did not freeze, crash or pop up errors.
On the other hand, you cannot configure program settings (e.g. overwrite files with the same names) and there is no help file available. Other than that, Raptor Audio comes packed with the necessary and suffice elements for audio ripping and conversion. We recommend it to all users.
