Reboot Delete File Ex Description

Certain files need to be removed after they’re used so you don’t end up not knowing why your hard disk drive is full all of a sudden. However, some stubbornly refuse to leave your PC, but this is mostly because they’re used somewhere else. If this is the case, Reboot Delete File Ex might be able to help you out in an easy process.

Select files from the context menu, or browse dialog

Right after installation you can go ahead and check out the application’s set of features. However, it’s true capabilities are revealed when trying to remove files, but you don’t seem to be allowed, or the file in question is used by another process.
There are several methods through which you can tell the application what files to remove. On the one hand, it neatly integrates itself into the context menu, so simple selection in File Explorer is enough to add them to the list. On the other hand, you can either drop files over the main window, or use the browse dialog for this purpose.

Files removed before you reach the desktop again

All files you decide need to be removed this way are displayed in the main window in a table showing path, and operation status. Note that you need to hit the “delete” button from the interface for the operation to work. What’s more, files aren’t removed until your computer restarts, and there’s also a button to do this on the spot. Just remember to save your files before doing so.
Upon returning to the desktop files aren’t there anymore. This is possible because the application takes action before any other services start to collect information and use those files. Note that if the file is renamed and moved before restarting the PC they don’t get removed.

To end with

In conclusion, Reboot Delete File Ex is sure to come in handy if you have one or more useless files you just can’t get rid of. The technique only requires a system restart so that no other service can start to use files in question. It neatly integrates in the context menu for fast initiation, deserving a try overall.
