Recipe Cards for Word

Now you can create, print and organize your recipe cards with this free collection of recipe card templates for Microsoft Word. These recipe cards from Vertex42.com are a great way to share recipes with friends and family. They are very easy to use, and there are many reasons to save an electronic copy of your recipes. For example, when a card gets damaged, you can simply print out a new one. Or, if a friend requests your recipe, you can just email them a copy. (We dont consider emailing a recipe to an individual a violation of the license agreement, but you should be aware that these templates are copyrighted, and other forms of distribution of the electronic files are not allowed. You are welcome to print and distribute the printed copies as much as you want.)The Recipe Cards for Word download is a ZIP file containing multiple templates. The template designs have a great look and feel, and come in 3x5-inch or 4x6-inch sizes. You can print two 4x6-inch cards per page or three 3x5-inch cards per page and then cut them out. Or, you can print the recipes individually on index cards, if your printer will allow that (your printer tray may have an area or slot for cards, postcards, envelopes, etc.).If you are willing to take the time to cut out the cards, printing multiple recipe cards on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper or cheap cardstock can be a very easy and affordable way to share your recipes. We prefer to print on standard non-ruled 4x6-inch index cards, because (1) the index cards are very inexpensive, (2) there is more room for notes and instructions than on the smaller cards, (3) they fit into our printer more easily than the smaller cards do, and (4) no cutting is necessary. If you decide to print on normal paper, you can laminate the cards after they are printed to help prevent damage from water and food stains.
