However, while there are many specialized websites created for this purpose, a centralized database that can be accessed from the desktop is a lot more convenient.
That is what Recipes intends to offer, as it is designed to store cooking recipes uploaded by its users and put them at your disposal. However, the database does not seem to contain any recipes yet, although you can create your own and save them locally.

Promising application that does not have too much to offer yet

Once recipes uploaded by other users become available, the program could turn into a valuable resource for any cooking enthusiast. You can filter recipes by category, type, mode of preparation, difficulty, cooking time, calorie count, author and tags.
You can also leave comments and ratings, find recipes by their ID and sort them based on a number of parameters. They all use the same overall style, and pictures are mandatory for each entry.

Create your own recipes and upload them to the database

The application enables you to become a fully-fledged author yourself, as you can add your favorite recipes and make them available to other users.
You can post general information about the dish and add relevant pictures, as well as explain each step in detail.

Unimpressive, bland interface that could do with some improvements

For starters, interface elements are not resized or repositioned when reducing the window’s dimensions below a certain point.
Additionally, the program does not remember the window position and dimensions configured by the user during the previous session.
Overall, Recipes is an interesting piece of software that could become a valuable resource for any cook, as it is designed to aggregate recipes from all of its users and put them at your disposal. At the moment, however, no recipes are available, so the application can only be used to store data locally.
