RemShutdown

RemShutdown is an application that allows users to shut down or restart a network computer.
The program doesn't require advanced computer knowledge, and this mostly happens thanks to the user-friendly GUI that relies on intuitive options and a plain and simple design.
Just input the IP of the computer you want to control and hit any of the available buttons, which include shutdown, prevent and abort.
Adding new computers to the list can be done either manually by writing down the IP address of the system or by scanning an IP range, in which case you are required to provide the start and the end IP addresses.
There are only a few options at your disposal, all of them available right in the main window, so you can also reboot system after shutdown, input a message to be sent to the network computer and force applications to close.
Since it's developed to work with network machines, RemShutdown provides two different authorization modes, so you can either use the current login and password or input new information in case it's different from your Windows account.
RemShutdown doesn't hamper system performance and it indeed works flawlessly on all Windows versions, without any special requirement.
All things considered, RemShutdown is quite a handy piece of software for all network administrators, but the lack of a database to save and quickly connect to specific IPs is one of the major drawbacks. On the other hand, it's easy to use and doesn't require advanced computer knowledge.
