Simple visuals make it easy to use

One of the main advantages here is portability, allowing you to use it as a personal timer on other computers directly from a thumb drive, without having to go through a setup process first. Running it is a plain process which doesn’t put a strain on system stability, and doesn’t make any changes to system registry entries.
A pretty compact main window shows up on launch. Although pretty poor in terms of aesthetics, this simplicity makes accommodation easy for beginners and experienced users alike. However, it could have used a few customization options, at least for the counter preview area.

Leaves much to be desired

The application is pretty straightforward and can only do one thing, and that’s counting the interval between two activities. It doesn’t start right away, so you need to hit “start” to put the timer in motion. It updates in real time, and you can minimize it to the taskbar until it’s time to stop, with ,sadly, no possibility to send it to the tray area.
Ceasing the timer also needs to be done manually. You can view the total time, because it doesn’t reset when done. However, you can’t pause, or save any intervals, and whenever you press “stop” it means you’re done and have to start from scratch.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that ReportWriter Stopwatch is a pretty straightforward application with a sole purpose in mind, which is to serve as a plain stopwatch tool. This is accomplished as intended, but with no customization options, and timer shown in seconds, there’s little practicality to be put to good use here.
