RightMark PPM Panel Description
RightMark PPM Panel is an advanced software application that permits you to run benchmarks and test the hardware capabilities of your computer. It features basic and comprehensive configuration preferences.
Hassle-free installation and plain-looking GUI
The setup procedure does not take a long time to finish. RightMark PPM Panel is wrapped in a normal window split into multiple panes where you can view processor information, configure settings, monitor CPU power and usage, as well as tinker with advanced options.
View processor information and configure standard settings
The first pane shows the state, frequency, percent, power, latency of the processor, along with kernel idle states and thermal zone monitoring details for each CPU core.
As far as settings are concerned, you can allow processors to use throttle states in addition to performance states, specify the minimum and maximum performance state of the processor, set the number of processor performance time check intervals to use when calculating the average utility, and more.
Oversee CPU power and usage, configure advanced settings
The third pane lets you monitor the CPU power and usage along with thermal zone temperature for each CPU core. Meanwhile, advanced users may schedule tasks to automatically run on a regular basis. Any modified options can be easily restored to default with the click of a button.
Evaluation and conclusion
We have not come across any stability issues in our tests, since RightMark PPM Panel did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Obviously, it puts a strain on CPU and RAM when it's performing a benchmark, which is normal for this type of software. Thanks to its standard and advanced settings alike, the tool should meet the requirements of most users looking to test the hardware features of their machines.
