RJT DateCalc Description
RJT DateCalc is a small software application developed specifically for helping you calculate dates based on the following parameters: birth, event, and age. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there.
The tool can be employed by historians in order to calculate the year of birth based on the age shown on the census and census date. Plus, you can use it to calculate the age at marriage from the wedding date and birth date, as well as an approximate birth date based on the death age and date on gravestone.
Not impressed by the GUI
The installation process is quick and simple but not the same thing can be said about the GUI which looks plain and outdated. A help manual is not included in the package so you need to experiment with the dedicated parameters in order to understand how it works.
Calculations and configuration settings
RJT DateCalc gives you the possibility to automatically or manually copy the results of the calculations to the clipboard so you can easily transfer them into other third-party programs, show the age in months only, and check out a log for viewing extra details about all your calculations and possible errors.
What’s more, you are allowed to keep the main panel on top of other applications, clear the workspace with a single click, select the dates from a built-in calendar, and make use of preset hotkeys for faster actions.
Tests have shown that RJT DateCalc carries out a task quickly and without errors. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
Final remarks
To sum things up, RJT DateCalc comes packed with basic features for helping you perform date-related calculations. However, it needs GUI enhancements and support for more calculations in order to become a top product on the market.
