Roadkil's Undelete Description
Roadkil's Undelete is a simple-to-use app which allows you to recover files that have been previously lost or deleted from your system.
This is a portable product, so installing Roadkil's Undelete is not necessary. It means that you can place the tool on a removable drive and directly run it on any computer. More importantly, your Windows registry will not be affected.
The interface of Roadkil's Undelete is based on a standard window in which you have limited options at your disposal.
Once you specify the drive you want to recover data from, scanning is automatically initiated.
In the list you can check out the name, path, size, date, attributes and integrity of each file. All you have to do is specify the output folder and press the "Recover" button.
The tool uses a very small amount of system resources when it's scanning the hard drive and recovering files. There is no help file available but that's because Roadkil's Undelete comes with easy-to-understand features.
On the other hand, you cannot apply a file mask to the search process (e.g. look for a file with a particular name and format), export the list to a log file, and so on. Furthermore, Roadkil's Undelete didn't manage to see all deleted files from our systems and it seems to have some compatibility issues with Windows 7, since it failed to read any of our drives.
All in all, Roadkil's Undelete is certainly a promising tool for recovering deleted data but we recommend you look for something more powerful right now.
