Roam Earth 3D

Roam Earth 3D combines global satellite imagery and elevation data to bring you a vivid view of the planet earth. You will roam a continuous true color image of the world at 4km ground resolution, and view cursor point longitude, latitude and altitude data (GLOBE Digital Elevation Model, 1m vertical resolution). Interactive 3D elevation plots generated by the 3D engine with true color surface texture visually illustrate drainage patterns and elevation trends. Shaded relief and false color surface options enable accurate visualization of original DEM data (including ocean floor topography). The image filter feature will further highlight areas of interest according to your target elevation range.

Version 5.0 adds ability to interactively examine elevation profiles - users specify lines of interest by drawing on the imagery.
