Roman Numeral Clock Description
The system clock is quite an important feature of Windows, letting you always stay aware of time. Needless to say that some individuals also want their computers to look cool, but Windows offers little customization to the clock by default. However, there is the possibility to rely on applications like Roman Numeral Clock for a cool alternative.
Clean interface shows a straightforward clock
On the bright side of things, the application can even be deployed on a thumb drive to always have this clock on the desktop, regardless of the computer you’re working on. Registry entries are not affected, so the health status remains intact. Just make sure that the target PC is fitted with Adobe AIR, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality.
Just like the name clearly points out, this is a representation of a clock which uses Roman numerals to show time. It does this in a clean manner, with large, clearly visible characters to show time on a plain background. The container window can be freely moved across the desktop, but it can’t be made to stay on top of everything else.
Doesn’t contain any customization options
The application uses the system clock to tell time, so there are no adjustments to be made in this regard. Sadly, you can’t even set it to follow a different timezone so you have two different clocks. Alerts and alarms are out of the question, and the program is purely informative.
Unfortunately, you’re only offered a single style, with no possibility to customize any visual aspect. This has a rather considerable impact on overall practicality, especially since the window can’t be resized, made transparent, or set to stay on top of everything else.
In conclusion
Bottom line is that your computer can both look cool and be fitted with the set of features suitable to your domain of activity. Roman Numeral Clock wants to offer an alternative clock to look at to tell time, but its set of features leaves much to be desired overall, especially because of the lack of customization options.
