ROSA Media Player

ROSA Media Player is a software application which helps people play video and audio files, create playlists, look for subtitles online and the list goes on.
The installation process is uneventful and after you are done with it, you are met with a clean interface. It is only comprised of a few buttons, a menu bar and a window where to display the video feed, and thus is accessible to all user types, regardless of their previous experience with computers.
This program supports a long list of audio and video files, out of which we mention AVI, MPG, 3GP, DIVX, MP4, MOV, FLV, OGG, WMV, SWF, RM, M2TS, MP3, OGG, WAV, AC3 and FLAC. Also, playlists can be opened, in formats such as M3U, PLS and M3U8.
The audio and video configurations can be tinkered with, in the sense that you can change the dimension of the feed, add several types of filters (noise reduction, auto-detect face, post processing etc.), rotate the picture and adjust the contrast, brightness, color, saturation and gamma levels. Moreover, you can change the audio channels, delay the sound and access an equalizer.
Subtitles are automatically detected and displayed or you can upload them from the HDD, in SRT, SUB, SSA, TXT, SMI and RT formats. It is also possible to search for some on the Internet, namely on the OpenSutitles.org website.
This tool does not burden the system’s resources, picture quality is quite good, yet capturing video feed from the Internet does not always work.
All in all, ROSA Media Player proves to be an efficient piece of software, with many useful options, an intuitive interface and a good response time.
