s8Tunes is a lightweight player that you can use to listen to tracks on your computer in a simple and straightforward fashion.
It displays a user-friendly interface which provides all the classic playback controls. You can play, pause, rewind, go to the next track in the playlist and adjust the volume.
s8Tunes grants you the use of a scroll bar as well, which you can use to jump to certain portions of a song if you want. It’s also possible to adjust the tempo, tone and key of the songs allowing you to have some fun with the vocals in some tracks, or add a different feel to the rhythm in which they are played.
Songs are added to the playlist either by dragging the files into the playlist section of the application, or by loading them using the Windows explorer. Once added, s8Tunes displays information such as song title, artist, total track duration and file location. It also shows if the pitch and tone of the songs have been adjusted in any way.
You control the application by using your mouse or keys on your keyboard. Nearly all functions are assigned with a button or a combination of two, making it easy to switch between songs, adjust their tempo and such.
s8Tunes allows you to automatically sort the songs in your playlist by tags like as title, artist and time, as well as by a certain keyword that exists in their title. It goes without saying that you can also organize the tracks manually, by dragging them in the order you want.
You can’t save the tracks in a playlist but the application stores them when it is closed so you don’t have to reload them next the time you want to listen to music.
All-in-all, s8Tunes is a player that works but it is rather basic when it comes to functions and functionality.
