Salsa Rhythm Machine is an interactive software application built specifically for helping salsa students learn the rhythm of salsa music with the aid of visual animations and several audio samples.

User interface

You are welcomed by a well-organized set of functions that allows you to carry out most operations with minimal effort. The main panel is divided into three small windows which provide information about the number of counts, animated basic steps, as well as songs that are played.

Main features

Salsa Rhythm Machine gives you the possibility to play or stop the audio selection from the built-in list with salsa songs, automatically check the number of counts, as well as read small tips about how to improve your dancing skills.
The program’s purpose is to help you learn how to dance salsa by mimicking the steps that are revealed in the primary panel. Additionally, you are allowed to choose the step type (lady or men), and break mode.
Last but not least, the utility enables you to take tests (and check information about your grade and wrong answers), add custom audio files from your computer, synchronize songs, edit song information (e.g. title, artist, CD, advice, BPM), as well as measure the beats per minute for each song.
During our testing we have noticed that Salsa Rhythm Machine carries out a task quickly. It is quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
