samplomat Description
samplomat is a lightweight and simple to use application that was developed with the purpose of helping you transform your Lomokino camera scans into MP4 format movies, allowing you to manually define the order of the frames.
Minimalistic and accessible appearance
GUI-wise, it is quite likely that the program may seem quite basic and underwhelming, only featuring the most essential functions and buttons, sparing you of unnecessary adornments.
The main window of samplomat enables you to load the targeted images, a preview of the resulting frame set being visible in the working area.
Convert Lomokino scans to MP4 videos on the fly
To start things off, you can load your source pictures into the utility using the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons in the lower left corner. The supported formats list is quite short, only allowing you to use JPG, JPEG, and PNG pictures, so if you have different file types, you may need to convert them first.
Once all your source photos have been loaded, you can press the ‘Done’ button, which will take you to the editing stage. Here, you can add slices and adjust their size using your mouse cursor. Similarly, you can arrange the order of the pictures via the ‘Move Left’ and ‘Move Right’ buttons, but you cannot define an exact position for them. Other editing possibilities are not available.
When you are satisfied with the result, you can ‘Export’ your video to a preferred destination directory, bearing in mind that it should not contain any files, otherwise samplomat will refuse the execution of the task. The output is generated in a preferred FPS, to a movie in MP4 format and PNG photos simultaneously, rotating them ninety degrees clockwise.
A straightforward video maker for Lomokino scans
As a conclusion, working with samplomat is quite easy and intuitive, but it would not have hurt to have a more extensive documentation file to browse through. However, the best way to find out how to best benefit from it is by using it, since it proves to be very accessible and effective, no matter the prior experience with similar software.
