It does not include complicated options, which means that even less experienced users can fiddle with this tool.
The installation procedure does not require special input and finishes quite quickly. The program's interface is based on a regular window with a plain and simple structure, where you can open files using the browser only, since drag-and-drop support is not featured.
So, you can view the structure of the DICOM directory and preview images in a small, built-in panel. Content information includes the group number, element, tag description, length and value. These details may be easily exported to a plain text document for closer inspection. There are no other notable options provided by this software utility.
Sante DICOMDIR Viewer runs on a pretty low amount of CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the overall performance of the PC. It has a good response time and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
We have not come across any kind of issues throughout our evaluation. Although it is not particularly resourceful, Sante DICOMDIR Viewer serves its purpose. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, the app should meet the requirements of users looking for a straightforward DICO viewer.
