SarAnt is a lightweight piece of software that enables you to modify the encoding format of text-based files in batch mode.

Straightforward setup and minimalistic interface

First off, you should know that the program does not require installation and you can use it right away. The program comes with a bare-bones interface that is comprised of three panels, namely the upper one is dedicated to pasting or copying the conversion rules, whereas the lower ones display the names of the original and the files that have been processed.
You should know that the new files share the name with the original files and are saved in the same location. The only difference is that the new files include the cleaned suffix in their filename, so you should not have any troubles finding them.

Enables you to replace strings and content easily

The idea behind the app is to help you replace strings of characters based on your set of rules. Since you can add a regex search and replace option, it means that you can employ the new lists for various tasks, such as converting UTF-8 to HTML and vice versa. In fact, if you want to make things faster and smoother, it is recommended that you create a text file of rules first and then paste it into the dedicated window.
While the app mainly works with TXT files, you can also use the regex for other file formats. The actual find and replace operation entails dragging and dropping the desired files and then hitting the Start button.
