Screen Saver Killer Description

Some computer tasks, such as a download process, can be handled by the target application alone, with little to no intervention, or effort required until the end. Chances are that some of these tasks don’t need to be interrupted, not even by a screensaver. In this regard, Screen Saver Killer does exactly as the name suggests, but not disabling it completely.
On the one hand, there’s no installation involved, so the application is good to go from the moment download is finished. One direct consequence is that it’s easy to store, and carry around on a USB flash drive to use on other computers.
Running it brings up a panel for several seconds to inform that the currently configured screensaver gets turned off for the time being. The whole deactivation process lasts for the duration of the prompt visibility, with no background processes left running after it closes.
Note that there’s no default option to make it run with Windows, but there’s not really a need to, considering disabling the screensaver is faster. The application can be launched a bit faster by having a hotkey command assigned to the shortcut from the corresponding Properties panel section.
The screensaver is not permanently disabled, thus not affecting the current Windows theme configuration. After a system restart, the screensaver starts according to its preset configuration. It can also be enabled back without a system restart by turning it off, and back on from personalize options.
