Search Google maps

Search Google maps is a small widget that you can use to perform map searches in Google, straight from your desktop. It can be easily installed and set up by users with little or no experience in software programs, frequent travelers and businessmen.
The interface of the gadget is based on a small frame whose size you can increase by clicking a button, and which you can move to any spot on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
The main frame features a search bar linked to Google Maps. You can write a location to look for, and either click the Search button or press the Enter key, in order to bring up a webpage with the results.
Unfortunately, Search Google maps does not comprise any other options or configuration settings.
However, with the courtesy of the default options supplied by the operating system, you can open the context menu to make the frame stay on top of other windows, as well as to set its opacity level to a predefined value, ranging from 20% to 100%.
Search Google maps does not put a strain on the computer's activity, as it runs on a minimum amount of system memory and CPU. It is very responsive to commands, performs a search job rapidly, and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, Search Google maps has not been updated for a very long time.
