Shedko Ogg Vorbis Propertysheet Description
Audio files come with a lot more data than just the required code to make your favorite song be heard. Some of them also include details regarding the author, album, title, and more, which can be easily edited for some audio formats. For instance, Shedko Ogg Vorbis Propertysheet wants to make tag editing an easy activity for OGG files.
Adds a new tab in the Properties panel
Before you can enjoy all the application has to offer, it’s a good idea to check whether or not your computer is fitted with .NET Framework, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality. Moreover, you might need to perform a system restart when setup is over, because the application integrates into your system, and doesn’t really come with its own interface.
Needless to say that you need at least an OGG file to make use of what the application offers. Don’t worry if you can’t actually find a way to launch this tool, because you find all of its features inside the default Properties panel, which you easily access through the context menu.
Create your own tag fields
Down in the OGG tab, you find several tabs which offer existing information, but also let you add your own. General fields display the complete file path, hertz, number of audio channels, as well as the library used to encode the file.
As mentioned, there’s the possibility to create your own fields, and these can be displayed under custom font specifications. Sadly, the application isn’t capable of grabbing existing details, not even from the file name, so you might need to create all tag fields by yourself. This can take a considerable time when performed on multiple files.
A few last words
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Shedko Ogg Vorbis Propertysheet adds a new tab inside the Properties panel to provide comfortable OGG tag editing. However, it can take a bit too much time to properly create and complete all fields you need, especially since general data is not actually gathered.
