Shrink It!

Shrink It! is a very small Windows application developed to reduce the size of locally-stored images with minimum effort.
You don't really need to be a computer guru with a lot of experience to learn how to use this program and a few seconds should be enough to figure out the purpose of each built-in feature.
The idea behind the app is actually very good because it only asks users to simply drag images over the main window of the app to quickly resize them.
Furthermore, it comes with the essential configuration options, including size settings and quality parameters.
For example, you can either choose between the available preset sizes, which include avatar, pocket PC and smartphone, or simply input a custom resolution. Additionally, you are required to choose an output folder, adjust quality settings, pick a background color and preserve aspect ratio.
Shrink It! works with the common image formats on the market, including BMP, JPG, GIF and PNG, and needs just a few seconds to successfully complete a conversion task.
It doesn't slow down the system, but instead it remains very light on hardware resources all the time, running flawlessly on all Windows versions on the market.
All things considered, Shrink It! does what it says and provides only the essential features and nothing more. It runs on low resources and can be used by both rookies and those with a bit more experience even though a help section does not exist.
